Barcelona president hits back at Bayern Munich manager over comments
Barcelona president Joan Laporta hits back at Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann

The English media, armed by offended Chelsea and Manchester United fans have made a mess about Barcelona’s financial situation this summer. To put it into perspective, the club is not illegally withholding anyone’s salary, nor are they using black money to buy players.
Respected members of the sport have found a way into this parade as well, including Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann. The German, during Barcelona’s pursuit of Robert Lewandowski, said:
“It’s the only club in the world that can buy players without money, it’s crazy.”
Speaking in an interview today, as relayed by Fabrizio Romano, Joan Laporta was asked about this. He said, “I’d ask him to focus on their accounts, that have received good money for Lewandowski.”
“To those that are surprised, I would say we are very much alive and back on the market – and there may be more surprises,” he added.
While it is not particularly a diss track, Laporta has hinted that Barcelona have paid Lewandowski’s transfer fee upfront.

The club has spent nearly €160 million this summer, acquiring the likes of Lewandowski (€45 million), Jules Kounde (€50 million), Raphinha (€58 million), Pablo Torre (€5 million), Franck Kessie (free), and Andreas Christensen (free).
Their business might not be over just yet, though, as they continue to pursuit fullbacks. Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta are among the options, but the list is long.
